In a tightly contested World Cup qualifying match, Ghana's Black Stars secured a crucial 2-1 away win against Mali on June 6th, 2024. The victory marks an important milestone for coach Otto Addo, who is in his second spell leading the national team.

The second half was a cagey affair, with both teams battling hard for the all-important three points. As the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Ghana substitute Jordan Ayew made a decisive impact, scoring the winning goal in the 94th minute to seal victory for the visitors.

Ayew, who came on in the 79th minute, showed his quality and composure in the dying moments of the game, calmly slotting the ball past the Mali goalkeeper to spark jubilant celebrations among the Ghanaian players and supporters.

"I'm delighted that we were able to get the three points today," said an ecstatic Otto Addo after the match. "It was a tough game, but the players showed great character and determination to fight back and get the win. Jordan's goal in the final minutes was crucial, and I'm proud of the team's performance."
